Our Story
Baldwin Boys’ High School is a private all-boys academic institution for boarders and day scholars, founded in 1880 in Bangalore. The school’s imposing edifice stands firmly on the bedrock of righteousness and truth. The school has been a portal through which generations of change-makers, wisdom seekers, path-breakers and iconoclastic personalities have passed into the horizon of excellence. Oldhams, the school’s founders would have been proud of the spectacular legacy Baldwin Boys’ School has been encapsulating.
The school’s first Principal, Rev. Marion B. Kirk from the East Ohio Conference would take pride in the monumental accomplishments and stellar successes of the school. The school’s glorious crown is encrusted with numerous awards and unflinching recognition. The school continues to chart its own course to create a bright future for its pupils.
Mrs. Leena Daniel
Principal
Baldwin Boys’ High School is one of the nerve centres of academic excellence in the country. The historic school’s legacy echoes the divine Christian values and ethos. Our philosophy firmly rests on the belief that academic excellence can be accomplished when educators with a conventional outlook are transformed into orchestrators of knowledge and wisdom. At Baldwin Boys’ we strive to push boundaries in pursuit of the hidden realms and tools necessary for promoting quality education. We inspire our educators to promote curiosity and rationality among the learners as cognitive expansion is a byproduct of inquisitiveness. Critical thinking, oratory skills, written communication, passion for research and so forth are the core principles upon which we engineer the minds of the students.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
Baldwin Boys’ believes in individual excellence for collective growth. The school has consistently set progressive benchmarks to accomplish excellence in education. The students are nurtured with the utmost care, love and responsibility. We engineer young minds with passion and commitment. The children receive priceless life lessons along with the conventional tools for learning. The divine Christian faith forms the bedrock of the school’s foundation. We strive to instill mercurial abilities among the students to realize their full potential. The traditional learning environment at Baldwin Boys’ has been fine-tuned for unobstructed transmission of knowledge and wisdom.
DISCIPLINE
We aim to foster self-discipline, encouraging boys to take responsibility for their own actions, through a disciplinary system, which is firm yet, fair. We expect good behavior both within school and on the journey to and from school. We expect pupils to show tolerance, consideration and respect for others. We expect boys to be punctual, to work hard and to allow others to do likewise. The school is divided into six houses and each of the houses has a junior and senior prefect who constantly monitor the attitude and behavior.
